Note: when I say how many shots it takes to kill someone or something, I'm talkin' more or less direct.
Somehow this doesn't seem like it should be on this page, but it is an enemy. These things take 6 pistol shots, or 1 shotgun shot. With the shotgun, though, you have to be aimed good. It helps some to be about the same hieght as the gun turret. They use laser pistols, like Assault Troopers and Captains and Recon Cycles.
This is just about THE wimpiest guy there is. You shouldn't have to worry about one or two much. You may need to start being a teensy careful when they bunch up though. They use Laser Pistols, and jetpacks. Using the original .CON files, they have a 96% chance of leaving pistol ammo. Kill them with about 8 pistol shots or one shotgun shot.
These guys are a little tougher than Assault Troopers. They have a Wrist-Mounted Phase Induced Teleporter Device (P.I.T.D.), alow them to transport short distances. They take about 8 pistol shots or 1 shotgun shot, and when they die, they might leave pistol ammo. Mostly the same as Asault Troopers.
These guys are mutated Police Officers. Soon, you'll be seeing them in there own nice little vehicles. Remember, they're former humans, so when you kill them, don't feel sorry for them. They take 14 pistol ammo, or 2 shotgun shots. When there wearing black or red, they take 3 shotgun shots. They'll drop either used armer, or a shotgun.
This sleek and deadly anti-gravity powered reconnaissance vehicle is operated by specialy trained Pig Cops for the purpose of maintaining alien control in areas of human resistance. The attack mode of this craft is aerial strafing by side mounted laser cannons. The pilots of these craft are protected by an automatic pilot injection mechanism that activates milliseconds before impact during a crash. It takes 19 pistol or 3 shotgun shots to bring them down, and then you have a ordinary Pig Cop to eliminate to.
These heavily armored riot tanks can take a lot of damage before they finally explode. And when they do, you may find a mad Pig Cop behind a shotgun. Here's a secret not in the manual: Space the Nuke button on the back of the tanks, and they'll die almost instantly. The problem with that strategy is living long enough to get to the danged button. They take 60 to 70 pistol shots (phew), 6 shotgun shots, or 4 RPG shots. I recomend the RPG. Devastators are even better.
These guys aren't so wimpy. They aren't dunces either. This characters abundant brain mass and specialized trifocol vision combine to make the Octobrain a formidable alien weapon against all sentient life on earth. They're method of attack is a powerfull blast of mental energy realesed against it's prey, thus weakening and confusing it's intended victim. If the victim doesn't die from the mind blast, the Octobrain's powerful razor sharp teeth are ready to finish the job. These You have to pump 28 pistol shots into these guys, or 2 or 3 shotgun shots.
Mechanized death - there's no better way to describe these airborn alien watchdogs. By the time you hear their high pitched whine as they engage their anti-grav propulsion units, it might be too late. The Drone will swiftly collide with it's target and explode with great force. They take about ## pistol shots, 4 shotgun shots, or around 15 Ripper/Chaingun shots. The ripper is the best weapon for them. The bullets from any gun keep them from ramming and shove them back a little, so they work well. If you kill them while they are to close to you, they'll hurt you to.
It emerges from its egg pod (which you can easily kill by kicking it before it hatches), with a simple nervous system and only one mission in life - to suck whatever brains you have out through your nose and leave you as a lifeless heap on the floor. The Protozoid Slimeris evasive as it stretches out it's elastic body from ceiling to floor, and then creeps up your pant leg like slugs when you jump in a leave pile. One kick will easily kill them. Even when they latch on, it's only a little health you lose if you kick as soon as they grab onto you. I'm not sure it's a bug, but the slimos have swallowed Pig Cops and Enforcers before. I started seeing it happen in the third episode.
With Ripper/Chaingun blazing, the armored Enforcer can make fast business out of dispatching any human opposition. Powerful hind legs enable a Enforcer to leap many places where an unsuspecting Duke may be caught of gaurd... so beware. The enforcer may drop Ripper/Chaingun ammo or a Ripper/Chaingun or his armor breastplate when he's slaughtered. He takes either about 14 pistol shots or 2 shotgun shots.
The free-floating Assault Commander knows how to throw his weight around as he engages his anti-grav spin-deck in your face. When at greater distances, he fires deadly RPG shots from his rear port which dangles below his anti-grav spin-deck. The Assault Commander may drop a box of RPG ammo when he dies. He takes 40 to 50 pistol shots, 5 shotgun shots, and 2 RPG shots.
These new aliens are evil in every sense of the word, taking twice the damage of a Pig Cop. On top of that, they move fast, can claw at you from close range, and shoot shrink rays at you. Even though they shoot Shrink Rays, they aren't good at squashing you. They try to jump on you, so unless you stand still, they aren't likely to be able to squash you. They take 39 pistol shots, 4 shotgun shots, or 2 RPG shots. They don't leave you anything when they die, besides that nice sweet taste of victory.
Bosses are death. The first boss is the wimpiest, and the only one who won't end the level when killed, but still, in my opinion, he is the hardest. The reason why is that they have bullet weapons, while all the other bosses don't. Bullets are harder to dodge. Of coarse, if I had a choice, I'd rather have three of the first bosses attacking rather than three Moonbase Bosses. Also, the Moonbase and Emperor bosses are almost impossible to kill in a small place.
These guys shoot with powerfull chainguns, and throw morters (little balls that explode like RPGs, but don't hurt you nearly as much).
These guys are my favorite in looks. They shoot with they're head-mounted rocket launchers, and if you get hit with a single one, you barely have a chance of surviving.
These guys shoot octobrain shots, and RPGs. And they shoot them wide-spread. If you have plenty of room, you usualy can dodge his shots without much trouble.
I don't really know a lot about these. They have a great defence, though. They have a cool zapper, and they actually make Protector Drones. Man, this is the coolest, best defended, deadliest boss existent (in Duke3D). You won't see her unless you have Atomic Edition/Plutonium Pak, though.
